Delicious demonstrations with Celebrity Chef, Neven Maguire

Get a taste for autumn with dishes made from the Dunnes Stores Simply Better range, created by Chef Neven Maguire at the PTSB Ideal Home Show.

I am delighted to be returning to the PTSB Ideal Home Show again this week: this is my third time to host my cookery demos at the show and I absolutely love meeting everyone who comes to watch me cook. Over the three days of the show, I will be demonstrating some really delicious recipes using some of my favourite ingredients from the Dunnes Stores Simply Better Collection and some of the new products from my Cook with Neven Maguire range including my new Korean Steel Knives and Diamond Fusion Frying Pans.

I will be cooking six different dishes per day, all perfect for those chilly autumn evenings when we want some delicious comfort food after a long day at work or when we’re hosting family and friends for weekend dinners. We will also have eight Irish food and drink producers each day sampling the products they make for the Simply Better Collection. I hope you will get to try some of the fantastic products they will have at the Show, their passion is such an inspiration.

My beef stroganoff recipe is perfect for feeding a family and is so quick and easy to prepare, while my glazed apple tarts can be prepared in minutes, I’ll be serving them with some delicious Simply Better Sea Salted Toffee Sauce from What’s For Pudding in Co. Meath and Vanilla Ice Cream from Morelli’s in Co. Derry.

I’ll be demonstrating a delicious salmon en croute recipe with citrus butter – I think this is a perfect dinner party dish that will really impress your guests and it is surprisingly simple to make. My vanilla and lemon rice pudding is a true comfort food dish, I love to use the Simply Better Organic Irish Jersey Milk and Jersey Cream to make this really indulgent. I think it’s a recipe you will make again and again once you see how easy it is to prepare.

I’ll also show you how to make a delicious risotto that can feed the whole family: it’s a fantastic one-pot recipe that just needs a little time and attention while cooking but delivers amazing results. I’ll be using the Simply Better Irish Free Range Chicken Stock in the recipe, and you’ll get to meet the amazing producer, Carol Banahan, at the show. I’ll also be making a delicious Raspberry & White Chocolate Tiramisu; my Italian friends might not like me calling it a tiramisu but I think it’s a really simple dessert to prepare if you are entertaining friends or family and would be a great recipe to prepare for Christmas.
