This Spring the ‘Garden Room Home Extension’ will be the central feature of the Extension & Retrofit Village and will provide home owners with an opportunity to see what a 40 Sq. Metre Home Extension looks like (40sq. metres extensions can normally be built without the need to apply for planning permission).
The extension will be set in a 1,000 sq. ft. garden sponsored by Kilsaran and will feature many of new ideas from their beautiful paving collection. Their brand ambassador Diarmuid Gavin will be in attendance during the
event. The feature garden will be landscaped and built by Lar Whelan of Carragh Paving.
Caroline explains her unique concept, “Bespoke interiors is what people want … People want ‘bits of this and bits of that to create something very personal to them’! For this Springs Ideal Home extension, I have taken the best of cool contemporary Nordic and married it with Parisien design elements to create something new and beautiful in its own right.”
The Nordic look uses clean and contemporary lines demonstrating strength, functionality and all that is built to last. Caroline plans to soften the look through the introduction of some Parisien chic to create a result which will appeal to those who also like a homely feel. Caroline explains, “Some Irish people can find ‘Nordic’ style a little too contemporary for their taste, however, the look lends itself as a perfect canvas when complemented by soft French touches making it more liveable and that little bit warmer for our climate and light. The French touch brings in a little more softness through provencal scented cotton bed linens and other accessories!”
